Carolina Day in South Carolina is a yearly event commemorating the Battle of Sullivan's Island, which occurred on June 28, 1776. It celebrates the American victory, a significant early triumph during the Revolutionary War. The battle is a pivotal moment in South Carolina's history and is marked annually with various events.
