CANDIDATE FILING OPENS TODAY

The North Augusta Republican primary for 3 City Council seats (4-year term) will be held on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. For all interested candidates, please see filing details below!

Candidates may file for the Republican primary between today, March 16th at 12pm, and Monday, March 30th at 12pm. These dates have been established by the City of North Augusta.

To file, candidates must submit the Statement of Intention of Candidacy & Party Pledge (which can be found at https://scvotes.gov/candidates/ under "Filing Forms") and filing fees to the county Republican Party chairperson in which county they reside. Please note: unless notarized, candidates must complete and sign the form in the presence of the county Chairman.

Filing fees are set by state law and calculated based on the office salaries. Filing fees for the City Council seats (4-year term) this cycle are $300, to be paid by check to the Aiken County Republican Party or the Edgefield County Republican Party.
